The potty training story and our month of June so far

An update just for Aunt S.

So here's the quick story of what potty training week looked like in our house. I knew he was ready and had set aside the week of May 24th to start. Our music class was over, we were back from our trip, and we didn't go anywhere or do anything. We were pumped. We started out Monday morning with a diaper party throwing away all of the diapers. (Don't worry, we didn't really throw them away but for his sake we did. Make sure when you see him you ask him where his diapers went. He will tell you the whole process of how the garbage truck came to get them along with sound effects and everything!)
So we put towels on the floor and get out plastic chairs - just incase. We even put the travel booster seat in the kitchen as to not use the nice wooden high chair. (BTW - he never had an accident on the carpet or in the high chair!)

Well by Monday at 12:30 he was 'pee' potty trained. Most kids get M & M's for going on the potty but not my kid. Nope. He got blueberries!

The poop was another story. It took a little longer but pretty much by Wednesday he was set. He had a few accidents here and there but we ventured to Target by Thursday and even went to church on Sunday with no accidents. Yay!

This kid rocks my world. I love him so much. He amazes me everyday. So smart!

So on to our month. Just some randomness. He loves watching the garbage truck out the front door. He will just sit there all morning and wait for it to come....... between 12:30 and 1:00!!! (Probably why he can demonstrate exactly what it does.)

*And yes - even though he is officially potty trained, when we are home he still usually do not have shorts on. It's just easier when you are in a hurry!!! {And isn't he darn cute in those undies! I like to call him captain underpants.}

Little friend came over to play -

Trying to fill Daddy's shoes -

And we went to a friends house this weekend to see another friend who moved. Luke had a blast in the pool with Daddy. This kid is a fish!

He loved having Daddy squirt him!

(That face is for you - Ash.)
Sweetest ever!! Loves these boys!

How cute is this little baby? Seriously look at that chunk. I got to eat just a little bit of it!!! He is just so sweet! Wish they didn't live in MICHIGAN! (That other little one is still the cutest in the world though!)

His birthday party is on Sunday so stay tuned. I will post about it early next week! I'm so excited!!!
