Weekend Festivities

We have been having some busy but very fun weekends! We sure do enjoy our time together as a family and the fact that Spring has arrived doesn't hurt!

Luke got a new workbench -- just like Grandpa's -- and has been loving it. Grandpa gave him his own real hammer and a board to hammer nails into.

Last weekend, a friend of ours invited us to the Hurricanes game. And of all teams, they were playing the Sabers! So Luke attended his first NHL game. We were 5 rows up, center ice. It. Was. Amazing. Luke loved it. I brought a bag of stuff for him to do and he pulled out a book for about 30 seconds. He watched the game the rest of the time. And we stayed for the whole thing!

We also had the opportunity this weekend to take a little drive and meet up with my best friend, Ashley, and her beautiful family for lunch {at Chick-Fil-A of course}. It was so amazing to see her and spend some time together even though it was so short! Our time together is so precious and this was the first time pretty much since we moved that both of our whole families were together.
It is also so sweet to see Brynlee and Luke together. It is amazing how much they love each other for living so far apart.

Me and sweet baby Mac.

The boys watched the toddlers so Ash and I could have some quality time. So sad we didn't get any pictures of just the two of us -- pictures were kind of a flop but oh well!

Luke also transitioned from his toddler bed to his 'big big boy bed'!!! {He is much more excited about it than he looks in this picture.}

And finally, we took my Mom out to celebrate her retirement. We had so much fun and the food was incredible. Yummy yummy.
